An administration official, who requested anonymity, leaked a top-secret annotated list of the books being purchased for the Bush library:
“Harry Potter and the Pseudo-Philosopher is Stoned” -- A history of Bush's drug use during his student days.
“The Lord of the Pretzel Rings” -- Inspiring book by a brave warrior who ate a bowl full of pretzels and lived to tell the tale!
“Pet Goat Sematary” -- Horror story about where a first-edition copy of “My Pet Goat” ended up.
“The Valley of the Dolts” -- A steamy look at the Bush cabinet.
“The Seven Habits of Highly Ineffective People” -- Read this book, and you too, can become as ineffective as Dubya!
“The Power of Not Now” -- A sad story of someone who used to be President, but is not the President now.
“The Right-Wing Stuff” -- An insider's guide to Fox News coverage of the Bush Administration.
“Great Expectations Dashed” -- The story of Bush's declining poll numbers.
“All's Well that Ends With an Oil Well” -- A collection of Bush's letters to “Kenny Boy” Kenneth Lay.
“The Tempest of New Orleans” -- Tragic play about the rise and fall of the Duke of Brownie.
“The English Patience” -- How our best ally learned to put up with Dubya.
“The Vice President is a Lonely Hunter” ... when he doesn't have his friends around to shoot.
“To Grill a Mockingbird” -- The Bush Administration guide to saving endangered species (saving them for dinner, that is).
“As I Lay Lying” -- A selection of the lies that Bush uttered in his sleep.
“Brave New Word” -- A list of everyone's favorite Bushisms.
“Mob Dick” -- Cheney meets the Godfather, and hilarity ensues!
Staff at the Department of Education are busy making a videotape that will contain five-second long summaries of the books using small words and brightly-colored pictures, so that Bush can pretend he has read all the books in his library.
